Malware report: When I tried to log on to dpreview.com the following malware messages intervened

When I tried to log on to DPREVIEW at about 9:40am 2025-08-25 I encountered a malware message telling me my system was locked and indeed it was frozen so I pressed the shutdown button on my computer.

When I logged on again I repeated the logon attempt at got the following sequence of pages...

First I c;licked on the DPReview link shown below



The following "To continue, click here" instruction popped up



I clicked the "click here" instruction which exposed the following page



So... it looks like the dpreview.com logon procedure has a problem

This is one reason why I won't disable my ad blocker. Ads are not only intrusive, but can also be malicious, even when they appear on friendly sites.

Thanks! Later I learned (a) I could log on with no problems through simply inserting www.dprveiw.com in the space where one normally inserts URLs (b) the problem was local to my computer because when others tried to log to dpreview they had no problem
