Recently spent two weeks traveling in Japan. It's a very photogenic country.

Here are some of my favorite shots, all taken with my Z7 and Z 24-120 f/4.

Fushimi Inari, Kyoto

Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavillion), Kyoto

Meiji Jingu Torii Gate, Tokyo

Aoi Matsuri Procession, Kyoto

Tokyo Canal

Aoi Matsuri Procession, Kyoto

Kanda Matsuri, Tokyo

Fushimi Inari, Kyoto

Mandai-mon, Nara

Great Buddha Hall, Nara

Great Buddha Hall, Nara

Genbaku Dome, Hiroshima

Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto

Tokyo Street

Cool. I want to go back to Japan.

Most of the shots here are taken at f/5.6. Is it the sweet spot for this lens?

Although you probably took tons of photos, the ones you posted here do not take advantage of the extra 120mm reach, save for one (the three girls). You could have taken all these photos with the 24-70 f/4. Only the pic mentioned before would have required some serious cropping. :)

Here are two I quite like shot at longer focal lengths:

But your point is well taken. I travelled for years with the Z 24-70 f/4 and never really felt reach limited--particularly with the Z7's "cropability." I only acquired the 24-120 a little over a year ago, and although I still find 70mm is enough for most of my shots, when I need longer, it's really nice to have it. Also, the 24-120 seems just a little sharper (but maybe I'm imagining it).

Very nice images. I always love to see pictures of Japan here.

Great collection.
Every-time I have been to Kinkaku-ji it has been very cloudy. Nice to see beautiful blue skies.

Got lucky there. Overall, we had lots of clouds and haze, and some occasional rain.
