85-90mm chipped native Z manual focus lens - does this exist?

if you're willing to go to 105mm, there's always the 105mm f/2.8 Macro Z lens

There really aren’t a lot of options. The Zeiss is too rich for my blood and most (but not all) AF options do not have an aperture ring. I’ve tried using the Nikon control ring for aperture, it’s not an option for me.

I’ll keep looking. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I am wondering if you really need a ‘chipped’ lens? Not sure what that really gets you for a manual lens?

Non-chipped, there is the Kipon 90 f/2.4? I got mine a few years ago, and for a much better price than they seem to sell for now, but has an aperture ring and is full manual. Just enter the non-cpu lens data and remember to select it…of course it doesn’t record actual aperture or anything, being non-chipped. Just a thought.

1. EXIF data

2. Not need to set manually the focal length for the IBIS behavior (each time)

3. Green square focus confirmation (this is the must)

I’m thinking no but thought I’d put the question to the hive mind…

Voigtlander hasn’t responded to my psychic pleas for a compact 90/2.8 Z mount chipped lens so I’m looking for alternatives. I don’t think there’s anything that has been or is being made in the short Z tele range like this. I’d even consider Sony E.

Can anyone think of anything? I like 75mm, but in this case I want a little longer. It’s for rounding out a three lens manual focus kit using my Zf with 21/3.5 and 40/1.2 Voigtlanders.
What's your objection to a 2.8/90 APO-Skopar permanently glued to an FTZ II? The lens itself is tiny (about the same as the 2.8/100 Series E), and optically, it's pretty good (comparable in quality to the 1.8/85 Z Nikkor, I'd say).

Your next to last sentence after the ellipsis says it all.

I’m pretty sure focus confirmation happens with non-chipped lenses, but yes on the rest.

That’s a lens I hadn’t considered! It is quite small - this may be an option. Thank you!

If you are interested, I might dig up some photos taken with the lens. It suffers a bit from bright-ringed background highlights and has some coma. Apart from that, I think it's excellent.

Yes, please - if any turn up I’d love to see them.

Thank you!

Bokesan’s suggestion of the Voigtlander F mount 90 on a FTZ got me wondering how my M mount Elmar-C 90/4 would work. I have a dumb adapter here someplace, but I’m thinking the TTartisans M to Z adapter that has six bit detection and translation might be a solution. (My Elmar-C is six bit coded.)

That would gain me focus confirmation, IBIS optimization for the focal length and embedded focal length in the metadata. It would also embed aperture metadata if I set it manually on the body for each shot.

This might be a solution until something better comes along.
