I bought a Lumix GX9 at this time last year, but it didn't satisfy me. I am a Fuji camera user and have a special fondness for small and lightweight cameras, but Lumix GX9 did not meet my expectations. A year later, I bought an M43 again, but this time the Lumix G100 surprised me.

To be honest, Lumix G100 is a machine for beginners to shoot videos, but in fact, I think it is a light and small camera that is not easy to operate. If I had met it when I first came into contact with photography, it would have left a pretty bad impression on me, but today I must admit that it made me fall in love with Panasonic again. The first is the cheap price. If measured by the initial pricing, this camera is worthless, but it is very rare to get such a camera at such a low price nowadays. Next is the unique colour of Panasonic, which makes photo editing extremely convenient, fast and enjoyable. Finally, it is its small appearance. I like this body that looks like a mini Lumix S5 very much. Although it may be too small, the exquisite appearance will always be a plus.

Love it.

Agreed. I really enjoy my g100. But then, I like my gx9 too. Yes, different.

While I agree with your overall assessment I strongly disagree with the part I have highlighted; leave it in "iA" mode and it works just like any other P&S camera.

I'd be interested to know what in particular you think would give a novice a bad impression - I'm too old to remember ever being a novice ;-)
And so you should :-)
