I want to set up a focus trap shutter release to capture a kingfisher on the way flying back to tree top after catched fish when kingfisher enter my viewfinder. I have tried so many set up combination but it is not working. It just fire when I press the shutter all the way down regardless of target in or not in focus.

AFS mode in focus priority, AF+MF is off, Shtter button focus is off, Focus is at back Focus On.

Can any one help?

Thank you.

You need to not use BBF, and use the shutter button with SHUTTER AF enabled - though most people with an X-H2s would probably AF-C Tracking for that (which I also recommend doing with the shutter button).

Your setting is continuous AF that is not what I meant.

Thank you for taking time to answer me.

No, my setting was AF-S single point with a full-press of the shutter button.

I also mentioned that most people would use AF-C tracking. I almost always use AF-S or MF, but I don't have an X-H2s.
