Looking for suggestions for film processing labs in the continental US (lower 48 states) that does 35mm color and B&W negative film processing (and perhaps prints).

After doing a few with the local shop, I decided not to use them anymore as prints with 35mm roll processing is not an option (it's extra to have them print the pictures) and apparently for digital, I can only get high-quality JPEG files, but not TIFF for some reason, so I'm switching labs but just need to find one. I don't mind mailing my stuff to the labs as none of it is paid work (all personal work). But I would like the option for TIF files (either on CD/DVD or by download, and also the option to get 4x6 or 5x7 prints as well).

(My other option is to get a developer kit and develop and scan the film myself which I've never done before but it looks to not be all that hard once you get all the supplies like the tank, reels and dark bag. It wouldn't be high volume, maybe 3 or 4 rolls per month if that.)

It isn't at all hard to develop your own film. You need a bit of manual dexterity to load the film onto a spiral, but everybody manages it.

I think the Jobo tanks are the easiest to use.

I used to ship all of my film to California...until a couple of local shops opened up here locally. I would encourage u to look locally...and support them, if possible.

This is the local film lab that I can wholeheartedly endorse. I stopped by a couple of months ago to take a tour of their facilities...talked to the owners. They are BUSY, and and struggle to keep up with the demand for their services.

So much for film being "dead."

I am extremely happy with the processing and printing results from the Great American Photo Lab in Carlsbad, CA. They have a big mail order operation.

The URL links to North Coast Photo which was the previous name of the business.

Nice film club in nyc. If you shoot enough to justify it the membership is $100 and includes 10 process+scans so that’s $10 a pop which is damn good. Price after the first 10 rolls remain $10 each. Work and turn around is good plus they archive your scans in perpetuity.

Is this a physical club (where they hold physical meetings) or is it just more or less a "membership" to a group (that doesn't operate like a typical club). I'm near the Chicago area so NYC is a bit of a drive.....

If it's just a "virtual" group with benefits like that, it might make sense. And I could see maybe shooting atleast 10 rolls per year in the future. Currently it's maybe a roll every other month mostly.
