With room to play with ideas some thoughts off the top

28 mm f1.4

Conversion lens for wide angle that adds 18mm - 24 mm that will auto detect focal length and not have to be menu selected something wider than 28 mm does not have to be all but the thought is with the ability for that digital “zoom”

Deeper grip

Built in ND

Keep the macro

3rd party flash TTL

More customizable buttons

Improved battery

of course nothing wrong asking for a lower cost per unit

Just some ideas

On board flash

3rd party flash TTL
You can scratch this off your wishlist. It’s already been a thing since the Q2!

You are talking to crazy. With too many cameras.

Who has a 3rd party TTl flash for the Q2 ?
Profoto

Works with M11, SL2, SL2-S, SL3, Q2, and Q3.
A flash system would definitely be more appropriate though (in case you meant on-camera flash only).

Is this for on camera flash or for studio. It looks like a flash trigger not a flash unit itself

Yes, it is a trigger with TTL. Both flash types are supported. You have to do it like Gilden, though.

A larger and heavier more expensive lens would not equal a lower price.

Enjoy what you have.

28 or 24 APO Summicron.

I second this and I think it’ll actually happen too.

28 mostly likely. However there’s something to be said for a 24mm too, it’s not really a Leica focal length, they’ve made two for the M in 70 years. And I have a feeling maybe they will opt for a 24, to put it slightly further from the 43 and also then sell a few more 28mm M / SL lenses because of it.

My theory.

I don’t wish for anything but a new APO designed lens

28 APO, sure, but 24? Not so much. And honestly, let’s bring a little reality check to the whole APO hype. Yeah, they’re amazing lenses (especially that M 50 APO—it’s exceptional), but they’re not the be-all, end-all. A lot of people actually find them a bit too clinical. The Summilux? Pure charm. Noctilux? Stunning. APO everything is starting to feel like fascism, but maybe that’s just a sign of the times.

Yes, I agree!

My wish list is to have a collapsable lens!! like the old sumicron lens, then I can easily place the Q3 in my pocket. The collapsable lens can be manually collapsable to save battery power!.

Would like to have a cropped in view when selecting more narrow frame lines as an option.
