Df split image screen

Greetings

Is anyone using a Df with a split image screen? Has anyone bought a screen and installed it on their own? Like the old days when you could just do it yourself, just flip out your view screen.

I have two, one I bought from eBay (EC-A), and one I got from focusingscreen.com (F6-J). I believe both have been trimmed to fit inside the DF. TBH the viewfinder/pentaprism of the DF isn't that great for manual focusing, the one in my D850 is MUCH better.

That being said, I tend to use the standard matte screen that came with the DF, with manual focus Nikon glass, more than I do the custom split screen options. For me, the split screen options are nice for focusing on subjects 3m or less from the lens. Anything beyond that distance becomes hit or miss very quickly.
