It was really windy, especially climbing to the ridge in the far distance. Don't know if I'd want to endure this on a regular basis but on a vacation it is "cool!"Quite like the mood you captured. Makes me want to be there. I enjoy that kind of weather- well maybe not the wind part quite as much.

It appears you "waited-while-you-waded" to get a great photo! Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun!With a hurricane off the Long Island coast and a full moon, high tide flooded the marsh and in some places the trails were under water at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY. This green heron was standing a few feet off the main trail. I waded on the edge of the trail and bent low to take this photo.
