Hello, everyone, and, as I always say, thanks for making contributions to this worthwhile endeavor.

This weekly thread serves as a place for members who own Fuji gear to share recent work …… specifically, with their Fuji X APS-C cameras. To re-emphasize….it's just fine for owners to post images made with their “other” cameras, but the idea is to allow owners with Fuji X APS-C cameras to compare notes, tips, and any other helpful hints.

To contribute your image, please respond to the original thread. Please, in your message, include a title to reflect what you wish to convey. Consider making it somewhat entertaining… it may add some “spice.” In addition to uploading/embedding your image, please tell us a little about the image if you wish. It is helpful to some of us who are less traveled to talk about the location of your photo if possible. If you can provide details such as camera, settings, and processing, that would be great for people reviewing the images.

If you wish C&C (comments/critique) please indicate that in your post. In this thread it should not be assumed everyone wants C&C. However, if you want specific feedback (composition, exposure, subject, etc.), don’t hesitate to mention it. It may be helpful to respondents what your needs may be.

Thanks,

PS…… Post away!

This was the first coastline image we were treated to. It was on private land but we were allowed to travel about 2 miles from the main road to a stopping point. We had to share the area with cows and bulls. Not a problem with the livestock. The only issue was dodging the cowpies all over the place. It was overcast and cool, someplace I’d love to be right now. Our temps have varied between 98 and 105. Arghhhh!!!

He came back, for the third night in a row. I took a few quick shots and backed out, hoping not to push him out of the area. A Whitetail Deer in Oregon, U.S.

The sun had set behind the hills quite awhile ago.

Quick smoke at the end of the hike. Kodachrome film sim. I don't usually try film sims, and the blown out highlights are exactly why I don't.

I live on the bay and am ever trying to capture it. This is a 6' wide panorama at full size.

As the title says. Our first local airshow since the early/mid 1980's. Not the biggest, but certainly had its share of WWII history.

Rented the 150-600 and got mixed results. The lens was heavier and more unwieldy to use than I expected (coming from the 100-400). Used on a monopod, but considering it was the first time using it in anger, I should have practiced more ahead of time. I did rent and use it for a nano-second in Yellowstone last year, but that was not fast moving objects. =) Keen to try it again now that I have a bit more experience under my belt. Was also a bit surprised how narrow the field of view is zooming past 400mm.

Anyway, a first of the few shots from the weekend (and not all 150-600). C&C welcome.

I was there last year, so couldn't miss it in 2024 as well. I was lucky as I bought tickets for 2nd day, and the first day was broken by the weather (end of June). I had a good time watching all the teams and took a lot of photosf. As I moved to 21:9 5120x2160px screen some time ago sa I'm experimenting with wide format as well. Here are some of my favorites from day part of the show (most of them are not downscaled).

We are pretty much over run with whitetail deer around here. Here is a classic pose from one of our frequent visitors. I would like to improve on my captures of these guys (and gals), so c & c are very welcome.

Nice shot. Are whitetails common in Oregon? I know you have a healthy population of blacktails.

Lovely scene! It's the kind of place you want to walk for hours on end. The cows on the bluff help with the scale and context.

Such a contrast to the dry west!

Just been walking and trying different things lately. No specific end goal other than practicing and enjoying the moments.

Hey Yoan - Nice images. Especially like the city shots and the perspective of the first one.

The mountain is immediately south of Crested Butte. These are from the Brush Creek valley looking west.

I had a long session with a pair of green heron the other day at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY. These are the last images of the session. It was amazing to see how fast this bird flies when I reviewed the 40 FPS burst of the blastoff.

This pocket of Whitetails was historically surrounded by Blacktails. These two live in close proximity but rarely interact. You have to travel a couple hours east to encounter the Muledeer.

Not accurate scale. The Blacktail is soaked.

Sweet shots, Morris. If it isn't obvious, I have had a bit of an obsession with those little guys for quite some time now. Haven't done much in the way of in-flight or "blast off" shots and your great examples here might inspire me to possibly try that as well. Thanks for sharing... great work as always.

Indeed!

Sweet shots and an almost ideal (and unusual) format for that subject matter. Might inspire me to experiment a bit with that as well. Nice work!
