** Weekly Fuji X-Series Photo-Sharing Thread August 3 - 9, 2024 **

A few Weekly Threads ago I posted an image of the approach to the Cloud covered hills of Slieve League. This weeks image is a downsampled image of the vast expanse of the view as far as the eye can see. The area is not “marketed” as one of the “must see” areas with massive numbers of tourists. However, the landscape is remarkable. I’m pleased it was not sunny and clear since the cloud covered, wind-swept time was best.
The images were very difficult to obtain because the wind was very strong. The rock outcropping I stood on was half way up the steep trail. It was nearly impossible to keep the cam stead in hand. But with a lot of work post I think it came out as well as possible.
For you pixel peepers and everyone else, click on the “Original Size” and you will see a small boat a little left of center near the shore to give you perspective of the size of the cliffs.
Slieve League is a must see….. and from the web: “Slieve League, also known as Sliabh Liag, is a mountain located in the northern part of Ireland, on the Atlantic coast of County Donegal. It is renowned for its dramatic sea cliffs, which are among the highest in Europe.

Outstanding shot, Bob… really lovely. Particularly liked the fog pouring over the cliff.

I do get a sense of an urban feeling. Your graphic design is wonderfully illustrated across all your images. The clean aesthetic only adds to the feeling of urban isolation to me. Nicely done.

Thank you.

The 68 Mustang is one of my favorite cars - following the 69 Mach 1.

Nice shots - enjoyed the trip down memory lane.

Nice shots - incredible eye detail.

Nice shots in a beautiful area.

Thank you for your motivating comments!:-)

Some nice images in this set.

The 18mm and 33mm is a great combo for a car show. Think that is what I shall use at the Dream Cruise.

Excellent image of a scene that suits the wide format really well. I especially appreciate the water going from the lower right up to the left side for dynamic composition. Striking place - makes me want to visit Ireland.

Lovely captures and the lens+camera combo really shines with these images.

I started focusing again on city/street photos to capture the feel or vibe of the place. For this set I was walking the east side of Toronto.

Gear: XT4, 23mm and 35mm primes.

All are good Jerry. I love the rim lighting on the last one

The background is much cleaner behind the bird in the first and last images making it easier to see. Lovely exposure and details

Quite like the ones between the first and last. A great study in lines and frames within frames.

The 18 has such a fantastic rendering. A sublime lens. This was one of my first real outings with the 33, and it pretty much matches the 18 in my eyes. Where the 18 is a 10.5 on the 1 to 10 scale, maybe the 33 is a 10.2.

A friend requested me to dine and take some photos of his new business venture
