I've been looking for a waist bag or a fanny pack for camera for a long time.

I used maybe 15 different bags so far and always complained about the way those had to be worn - I dont like any shoulder bags, cross body etc or keep my camera hanging on my neck, so only bag position I can think of now or what is left, is waist. I'm not getting into backpacks.

I tried Peak Design 3L and 6L - both felft weird on waist, so hoping to finally stop camer bag serach I started 20 years ago and find the one ;)

It doesn't have to be big, something co carry a body with one lesn is already enough (body like Nikon Zf which I have, plus not too big lens, like 80mm long one would be fine.)

Please let me know of any options I have for waist bag.

Maybe a toploader holster on a belt, something like one if these from LowePro:

Many other manufacturers have similar bags, these can be worn both on belt and over the shoulder (and sometimes in other ways).

Yeah, I know that one. I was considering Adventura SH 120 III, which is more square version of that one. Also Think Tank has bags like that, but again, so obvious and not pretty, at least to my taste ;)

Thing is, I don't want a bag that screams camera inside :)

Plus that logo is kinda ugly and so visible, would prefer to have more subtle naming.

I use the Mystery Ranch Hip Monkey Waist Pack 8L. It is very comfortable and well made and looks good. It is not a specific for cameras, but I put a cube inside to support the camera.

Would Wandrd Rogue Sling 3L be enough for Zf with lens on it?

I to have the Hip Monkey, but found it a little to small. Instead I bought and use the Savotta Askari hip bag. It’s really nice. It is not camera specific, but works perfectly to carry my Z8 travel kit. I use Z26mm pancake and Z24-120mm when traveling, depending on if I’m in a crowded area or not. It also swallows my Z400 f4.5, so that I can bring that if I need something for reach.

The Savotta Askari does also well as a cross body bag. This is how I mostly use it, but It can also be used as hip bag. Great with the other Savotta backpacks as well if you would need to bring more items. A bonus is that it can be used with the insert of my Billingham Hadley Pro. It fits inside the Askari very nicely, but I rather go with no insert at all, as I tend to keep my Z8 crossbody on a strap most of the time. Of course you could use lens pouches as well if you want to separate several lenses.

I’m using this pack to work as well. It carries my MacBook Air 13” and hp14’ work laptop both at the same time easily. Strangely it does feel very small to carry, but carries a whole lot. Great carry that doesn’t feel awkward to bring along.

Strange thing is that official volume figures of the Savotta Askari is less than the Hip Monkey, but it carries more.

I purchased a 10L of this https://www.pgytech.com/products/onego-solo-v2

I tried the PressPass 10, great strap - very cushioned! However z8 + my lens would not fit, and also the z8 body is just too big. The PGY in the link at 10L is more than enough space. The only thing I don't like PGY model I have is the inside pockets are not zippered shut. I like that feature about ThinkTank most, they usually have zippered inside pockets.

Thanks for the link.

Wow, that PGY 6L looks like PD 6L !

Interesting, cause it looks bigger, roomier, than PD.

The only improvement they should do is make the strap have thicker padding, like the Presspass10!

With the 10L, the strap at its shortest, it won’t sit high on the back like ThinkTank Turnstyle series. I love the Turnstyle sling it’s perfect but I’ve grown tired of having weight only one shoulder.
