--The small size of this image looks very nice, but as I enlarge it to view the landscape details, I notice that the distant rock is very blurry, which in my opinion robs the image of some of its potential beauty. Looks to me like you chose to focus on the stone formation in the foreground to the detriment of the distant rocks, are you happy with the result, or was it more of an accident?

Nice image.Yes I deliberately focus on the near Rock that was effect I’m of the school that thinks Landscapes don’t have to always be clinical sharp to make a good photo sharpness is overrated .saying that if I want sharpness I have it the Panasonic 100 mm macro is one of the sharpness lenses I have ever owned And I have owned lots in 40 years of photography

I do agree that a little OOF area in a Landscape can sometimes be appropriate as it can add a bit of mystery to the image which in turn helps provoke a certain reaction in the viewer.
Also, having grown up in Oregon, I do know that, in coastal areas, there is often mist in the air that can cause things off-shore to be a little (or sometimes very) soft. It comes with the territory, and leaving it in can provoke a positive reaction in a viewer who has been there before.
But yes, sometimes you want everything sharp.
