Lens Adapter that you use most?

I have only now seen the post in which it becomes clear that for the time being it is only about one lens, a TTArtisan 50/1.4.
Something like the Voigtländer VM-E Close Focus Adapter would be the recommendation when it comes to finding a permanent solution for adapting several high-quality M-mount lenses.

The same applies to solutions from Novoflex or Rayqual, which are worthwhile if several high-quality lenses are to be used permanently, i.e. adapted.
They are considerably more expensive, but also the highest quality solutions on the market, so they make the most sense when used with high-quality lenses, where the high acquisition costs for such an adapter are relativized by the quality and value of the optics to be adapted.

To try it out and for just one lens, which is hardly more expensive than the adapter, I would probably try an inexpensive dump adapter without heliocid for the time being.
Personally, I am very satisfied with my Urth F to Z adapter in this category, very solid, but still inexpensive.

You shouldn't dismiss the K&F Concept adapters.
I have plenty of them for a bunch of different mounts. They all perform well and are inexpensive. They are pretty hard to fault, in general terms, but most adapters have some 'issue' and if you want to be pedantic then I'm sure you can find fault with the K&F Concept adapters too.

I have a bunch of them too. -For a few pounds more, get the latest gen iv pro versions - highest build / machining quality. I can't find fault with these - the fit / finish and mating to my cameras / lenses is as good as it gets..

After looking at various options (and after having just purchased a Voigtländer COLOR SKOPAR 35mm F2.5 P II VM) which now gives me 2 Leica M mount lenses, I have decided to go with the Voigtländer VM-mount lens to Sony E-Mount adapter.

Thanks to everyone for your insights!

Not sure if you are aware, - the majority of voigtlander's short FL (35mm or less) lenses designed for m-mount don't play well with the sony's thick sensor filter stack. -Causing quite severe softness towards edge of frame, and also color cast / color shift towards edge of frame. (The 35mm skopar f2.5 being one of them..)

I wasn't aware of that but I guess I'll find out.

I have plenty of glass for the a7R3, I wanted the adapter to see what I get with the TTArtisan on the Sony body (as compared to on the M3).

There might be other M-mount glass in the future?

I'm surprised you don't include the Techart pro on your list.
I need an adapter specifically to put a TTArtisan 50/1.4 on a Sony a7R3 to see how the lens behaves on a digital. I don't need an adapter that costs as much as the lens.

Thanks,

- Gary
I have many situations where the adapter costs as much as the lens. This is perhaps because so many of mu lenses are ultra cheap - I think I have around 25 that have cost under £5 :)

FWIW my Techart Pro was only £104 delivered so it is possible to get considerable cheaper than the list price.

I'd get the TTartisan M-E 6bit adapter that allows you to record the focal length set on the adapter and the apterture (set in camera) to the Exif-Data. It's well made and having the FL recorded is a huge advantage in my eyes.

Else I'd second to get a helicoid-Adapter, since Leica-M-Lenses usually don't have the best MFD.

Indeed, I got the Voigtländer VM/E Lens Adaptor (used) for half of the new list.

Sorry, have been travelling and just saw your reply.

Yes, it is the second one you listed....the M-E mount version.

Great adapter, lightweight, cheap, well-made and the close-focusing helicoid is quite useful. I only use this adapter for mounting M-mount lenses to my Sony A1, my other adapters are gathering dust.
