I have 3 Voigtlander lenses ( 50, 40, & 23) and I really like them. All of them are well built and fun to shoot with. In my opinion they add to the Fuji retro experience. Focusing is very easy, I use red highlights.

I have the 35 f/1.2. I expect the 50 to be as good. To me, 50mm is an odd focal length for APSC.

I was impressed with the Voigt 27mm so I bought the 35mm. I really like it so I bought the 50mm.

So far the 50 is great. Wide open it is not a sharp as the Fuji 56 R but by f/2 it has caught up. At f/5.6 it is sharp edge to edge for landscapes. At MFD it loses some sharpness as well but that is to be expected. It does focus closer than the older Fuji 56 and I have not tested at the common MFD to see how they compare.

It is much lighter and slimmer than the Fuji 56. On the camera it feels great.

In my test pics so far, I've even seen some 3D pop.

Close focus at f/1.2 gives a soft dreamy look which like.

At f/2 things sharpen up.
