Why these two cameras, and not the Ace Pro and Action 4, for example?

The Action 4 has the same form factor as the Ace Pro. There is no reason to acquire both.

The Action 2 has a completely different form factor and use - it is tiny and can be placed in more places than GoPro's or the Ace Pro or the Action 4. A new version of the Action 2 has just been released, so it is not an outdated Action 4, it is a completely different camera, more like a Go3 but better, with a really bad model name (it is not an action cam nor an obsolete version of DJI's true action cams with higher numbers). It has a bigger sensor than the GoPro 12, as does the Ace Pro (even bigger).

My original intent was to see if I could mix Ace Pro Action 2 clips in one video. Both cameras shoot 4K 60P and 4K 120P.

So, we have both cameras mounted to shoot the same scene simultaneously, in 4K 60P using the color profiles with the most dynamic range (neither has a real log profile). First the Action 2 shot then the Ace Pro version. The clips were color graded to match as best I could. Clips are labeled with the source.

Shot on a very sunny day, challenging dynamic range, and scenes with plenty of color and movement. Handheld, with some shots with the camera moving to challenge stabilization prowess.
