Hi, just a few minutes ago, I started Luminar Neo and there was an update available (1.18.0.12802). Kaspersky antivirus identified the install files as malware (PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic) and deleted everything. Now I can not run Luminar Neo. I had to uninstall it, disable Kaspersky, and install it again. After installing, I enabled Kaspersky, and Luminar Neo runs with no issues.

Kaspersky is a very aggressive Anti-Virus program.

Years ago there was a recommendation to turn of Anti-Virus when installing anything or updating.

There might be settings to add programs to trusted list, not 100% sure as I have not use Kaspersky in many years.

Also in some cases updating or waiting for a new update to K will or might stop this behaviour

I admire people who make the bold decision to use Russian software

You may consider migrating to another AV suite. I have dumped Kaspersky more than 5 years ago without looking back because it was expensive in Hong Kong and a resource hog at that time.

Just to get this out of the way, I support the Ukraine completely in their fight against the Russian invasion. I run Kaspersky AV, and have for 20 some years. It produces less False Positives than most other AV suites on the market and my Luminar update was stopped as well. My wife ran another AV product on her laptop after her Luminar update and it found a Data Miner in the Luminar folder. Turning your AntiVirus off to complete an install from a company in Eastern Europe, or anywhere for that matter, is akin to leaving your front door open at night because your tired of people waking you up when they break in. Good luck.
