A week ago I had the privilege of visiting Horsey Gap in Norfolk on the east coast of England, which is regarded as one of the best spots for seals in the world.
Here are some photos of seals that I took, which one do you think is the best - and how could they be improved further?
4 and 5 are great. I think the difference between those two and the others is your angle relative to the subject, giving you better subject isolation and engagement. With 5, I'd probably adjust the background levels so the seals stand out a bit better. I can't see your exif data on my phone, but try and blur the background a bit more as well, which could be done using using your widest aperture (Sorry if you've already done that).
The low angle is the key in making 4 & 5 the best. Normally in wildlife photography eye contact is a strong element but with seals it can give the impression that you have got too close - one may have entered their stress zone. Particularly important with breeding colonies.
