CIZ 3X Experiment w/ A7RV w/FE 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G OSS

Just as curiosity I did some shots (handheld) using CIZ 3X w/ A7RV w/FE 70-300mm f/4.4-5.6 G OSS. I am experimenting to understand this combo capability (sharing my results). Camera AF-C worked fine at 300mm X3 = 900mm. Of course, resolution with CIZ is not and would not be expected to be equal to an optical prime (but we may on occasion find a need / use).

I really don’t understand how you get 3x CIZ with the a7RV if you use large size 61MP.




According to the help guide the only way to get 3x CIZ is by selecting medium size (26MP) instead of Large size (60MP)

Yes, as you have pointed out, I am selecting jpg 26M (not using 61MP). Actually, your question has cleared up a question in my mind. Thanks

Your welcome, if you use large size (60 MP) you will find that the quality of the 2x CIZ is really quite good at the resulting 60 MP.

Thank you, I am learning and experimenting. I expect mainly to use CIZ with FE 16-35mm f/4.0 G PZ and will select 60MP. Love using the A7RV.
