Does anyone have any personal experience using Godox lights with the Westcott S bracket ? Design looks far from perfect but I do appreciate the design more than Godox's S2 bracket. Something about clamping the head of the light into the S2 bracket just doesn't sit well with me.

The weight of the light does not require a lot of clamping force.

Wescott bracket looks like it would work on a Godox AD200, but not the Godox speedlights since the speedlights do not have the screw port.

Speaking of clamping, Profoto design clamps modifiers onto the light.

I found some user reviews on B&H/amazon. For memory they say that it works on the AD100, AD200Pro and AD300Pro.

That's a valid point.

I'll tell you what doesn't sit well with me, and that is mounting a speedlight on a lightstand using the hot shoe foot of a flash. If the lightstand gets knocked or blown over, you are likely to break the flash foot.

I have had lightstands get knocked down and blown over, and never lost a light, because I don't use the hot shoe foot to mount the flash.

In the Godox bracket, the flash usually just twists sideways when it hits the ground.

If I'm just using umbrellas, I use the Phottix Varos H-Mount Plate and Strap

and a Godox AD-E2 Bracket

Use a rubber washer to get over the anti-rotation ridges on the AD-E2 or grind them off with a Dremel (which is what I did).

The original S bracket is great for Bowens mount modifiers and speedlights or bare bulb flashes, while the S2 bracket is a bit larger for use with the AD200 and V1 lights.

Thanks for posting that link. I just bought 3 for my 3 new Sony flashes.
