Hullo I'm new to Leica and a bit stumped on how to tweek the "Favorites" ...

I set up what I thinks a Favorites bank for what I would call my often used menu items(not on a User profile e.g. perspective control; hopefully to be used at any time without having to drill thru' the six menu pages.

Lo and behold a star appears

However, after one shot or a video recording or going into the menu for anther reason the star disappears and I believe it's content.

Any ideas or remedy ...or am I doing something wrong?

It seems complicated until you understand how it works. And I’m assuming here that you want to keep using what you’ve created.

1) Set your characteristics as you want them (like minimum shutter speed etc.)

2) Go to “User Profile”

3) Name Profile [Profile Name you want to give to the group of characteristics you want to use again]

4) Go to “Save as [Profile Name you created]”

Now you can create another 5 profiles for different purposes if you wish and name them accordingly.

Thanks, LeChef

I have done that but I cannot add Perspective Control to any "User" so I thought add it to Favorites so I can call it up for Architectural shots ...but as I said it keeps disappearing

So...

Do I set up more User profiles in the likes of "Street" and a seperate one "Building" and flip between the two for "Church in context" and "Church Tower" or am I just hitting a mental block in not grasping this issue

Are you using a burst shutter mode? Perspective control is only available in single shot mode.

You should be able to save perspective to a user profile. Just enable it and then save that (and your other settings) as a user profile. Works for me - I wanted it as a separate user profile as I find it distracting if not needed.

Duh...Mental block cleared. Thank you all three of you; I re-read your suggestions, took a deep breath and added another couple of User Profiles.
