Equivalency of the EF 85 f/1.2 L ii on GFX 100 ii ?

Is the equivalency of the EF 85 f/1.2 L ii on the GFX 100 ii roughly 68 f/.96?

If not, what is it?

Thanks.
The closest lens would be the GF110mm F2 (approximately an 86.9mm F1.58 equivalent).

Imho it's one of the best lenses ever made.

The GFX Medium Format to Full Frame crop factor is x 0.79.

By image height: 85mm*24/33 = 62mm, f/1.2*24/33 = f/0.87

By image width: 85*36/44 = 70mm, f/1.2*36/44 = f/0.98

I don't consider the diagonal comparisons very useful.

Do you mean, what lens on a GFX do you need to provide the equivalent of an 85mm f/1.2 on FF? If that's what you mean, then to get a GFX lens that provides about the same field of view and subject isolation as an 85mm f/1.2 on FF provides, then the GFX would need a 108mm f/1.5. This is using the compromise of the diagonals to provide equivalence, which may or may not apply, depending on crop.

Or do you mean, if you mount an 85mm f/1.2 on a GFX and it adequately illuminates the whole sensor, what's that equivalent to on a FF camera? If that's what you mean, than as already stated, it's about equivalent to a 67mm f/0.95 on FF.

Very interesting.

Thanks. This was what I meant.
