Hello everyone,

I'm thinking of using a Canon EOS M50 because it's good value for money. I have a few questions before buying.

I'd like to know if at average temperatures (like outside, so max 34 degrees in France) for fixed use (in its tripod without movement), and without ventilation after 2-3 hours of use the battery heats up or causes the camera to shut down.

I've also been told that the memory card can saturate, so how often does this happen and what are the effects if it does?

If it's really not worth it and doesn't work well enough for videos lasting more than 2 hours, I could change even if it hurts my wallet.

That's my little question and I hope you'll answer it!

Thanks a lot!

Have a nice day.

The M50 is not a good camera for video. It does overheat. It's also a dead mount so finding lenses other than the kit lens can be difficult because they are not being made anymore and the kit lens is not very good.

M50 (with external power) video can last and it can use older Canon DSLR lens with adapter

but maybe get a newer Canon mirrorless - e.g. R10, R etc
