Heading to Bali in Sept for a week. Spending time chasing dolphins, waterfalls in ubud. And also spending time in canggu and the beaches for sunsets.

I have a A6000 with a 50mm 1.8 as well as the Samyang 12mm F2 Manual focus. What lens would you bring in the kit for a trip like this. I have options to rent lens here in my country with very good price point.

We visited Bali with the 6000 + 35 1.8 + 50 1.8 + 20 2.8, it was our first tropical vacation. I used mainly the 35, not bad stepped down to F4-5.

Now I would have the SIgma 23 1.4, Sigma 56 1.4, I guess nothing can beat them in terms of IQ, and if it is available to you, Sony 16-55 2.8 is supposed to be the best travel lens. Maíbe all you need is the Sony zoom, but too expensive for me to buy, and a don’t rent. I also have 70-350 for it’s special purpose. Fantastic lens.

Bali was my first vacation with my wife. Have a nice time there!

Thank you so much for your reply. I am too, looking at bringing the existing lenses that i have, as well as either a 70-200 or a 70-300. The 16-55 seems a great lens that should replace the 2 lenses i have and save the weight in the bag.
