Took a drive to Elliston, Newfoundland where there is a puffin colony that can be photographed from shore. Here's a few pics from the outing (xt5 + fuji 150-600). The equip combo had a bit more trouble AF'ing with these puffins than the gannets I assume because they are smaller and faster. Still got lots of keepers both static and in flight.

Hey, you're back. How did it go?
lots of puffins sitting outside their burrows
PIF
gotta be careful to pick your landing spot so you don't upset the neighbors
getting away from the commotion
dreaming about the tasty fish he'll catch next

A fresh caught caplin. You'll notice there are gulls in a few pics. Not only do they eat baby puffins, but they also steal whatever fish the pufin come in with. But the puffin is pretty crafty and bascially when they had food, they would land on the doorstep of their burrow and jump inside with the catch before the gulls had a chance to steal it.
gulls always the opportunists
