Sitting out on my deck I felt something tickeling my arm. I could barely see it as it was so small. I had my E-M5 Mark III With the 60mm F2.8 Macro lens and I was able to take a couple of shots holding the camera with one hand. I was surprised to see it was tiny ant crawling under the hair on my arm. Both shots have been cropped and post processed but they look so much better on my computer and tablet.

It needs a thought bubble "how the heck can I get this thing back to the nest to feed the children?"

I never "thought" to do that.

A bee. Most likely a sweat bee (there are a lot of different subspecies of them), but it could be another small bee species. But, definitely a bee.

Thanks for correcting me. Even though I saw the little wings the shape of the head made me think of a tiny flying ant. I don't think I've ever heard of sweat bees but now I know what they are.

As @jalywol stated, a sweat bee - often mistaken for an ant due to appearance. They are attracted to perspiration, generally harmless and important pollinators of small flowers. I'm glad you chose to photograph the tiny critter, rather than squash it.
