Is purchasing S5 now from secondhand platform a good choice?

Purchasing Lumix S5 from secondhand platform, S5 is the one which perfectly fit my estimation and budget.

Though its focus ability is poorer than other brands, the camera absolutely fit the requirement of low expense filming. Loading wireless focus gear on Lumix f1.8 series prime lens is a good solution.

After all, S5 provides micro HDMI connector, which should be carefully protected for the reason that monitor wire might be easily disconnected. Plus the auto white balance maybe inaccurate during indoor occasions.

In addition, S5's photography ability is astonishing. I love its sharpness and color.

A unprofessional photo is attached just to demonstrate its photography quality.

Remember to check the special stock clearance offers from some of the large, authorized dealers, that may need a bit of cash in the register.

Around the time S5II was introduced, one dealer panicked, and I got my S5 including 20-60mm and 50mm for a surprisingly low price. Factory packaging and all that jazz, what's not to like?

I have little experience with buying used camera gear, so - sorry - no advice on that front.

Regards

i have bought more than 50 cameras or lenses used, mostly lumix m4/3, and only gotten 1 lemon (20mm f1.7). These include S1r, Sony a7rii & iii, two RX1's, RX10iv, RX100iii

For all our complaining, camera electronics are surprisingly robust. Also lens variance is exaggerated in my opinion.

The main issue with using a follow focus for manual focus is the hdmi lag, which apparently plagues the S5 ii and S5 IiX as well as the original S5.

Apparently you can reduce the lag by turning the hdmi audio out off.
