I'm looking to find an LP-E6N charger quickly in stock, I only find for LP-E6 in description (Patona, Newell, Hahnel, etc.). Do they work the same?

Thanks!

The LC-E6E model charger has been supplied with the four Canon camera models I have purchased brand new spanning three versions of the battery: LP-E6, LP-E6N, LP-E6NH

LP-E6 is the same as LP-E6N and the LP-E6NH, just a little more density in the N and NH versions, so yes, the chargers should be the same. The canon OEM charger is the sane since the LP-E6 was released many years ago.

I think there is a little more to it than that as (I read that) the LP-E6 does not support the in-camera USB charging feature of the later R-model cameras.

What's that got to do with the charger the OP was asking about? But any LP-E6/N/NH battery will work in any of the canon cameras that take the type of battery. I still have an original LP-E6 and it works fine in my R5 as well as using it with an R and several of the 5D's and 7D I had owned. And all those cameras came with the same charger.

As for in camera charging, That may be due to firmware in the battery to keep from charger an aftermarket battery in camera for whatever reason. Same with needing the NH version to get a full 20FPS on my R5. Or maybe it's just canon trying to convince you HAVE to have the $79 OEM batteries. Just like when the original LP-E6 came out, you needed the OEM battery for the battery level meter to work correctly but it has long been hacked since then with aftermarket batteries.

My reply was not to the OP it was to your statement about the batteries being the same other than their [energy] density

so it seems that the LP-E6 is indeed not fully compatible with the R5 features - no internal charging

I have several different Canon and thirty party chargers as well as a good assortment of batteries I have gotten over the years. All of these chargers work with all the variants of the LP-6 family of batteries. I also have some LPE-17 batteries for the smaller entry level Canon Cameras. There are couple of variants of those too. They require entirely different chargers but those chargers for those batteries and variants too.

It is interesting tho, that they keep the same model number, but I noticed that the LC-E6 charger that came with my R6m2 has an output of 8.4v and 1.2A, my older charger is 8.4v and 1.0A.

Dan W was 100% correct in that statement, it had nothing to do with internal charging.

That was not a question in the original post, nor was it brought up in Dan's reply.

nevertheless, my reply was to Dan regarding his statement about the batteries themselves:

"LP-E6 is the same as LP-E6N and the LP-E6NH, just a little more density in the N and NH versions"

He didn't say that the LP-E6 is the same as LP-E6N and the LP-E6NH in so far as they can all be charged with the same external charger, he said that they are the same other than their differing energy densities - clearly suggesting that the energy density / capacity is the only difference - which is clearly not the case as one of them can't be charged in the camera.

That was not a question in the original post,
again, I was responding to Dan not the OP
nor was it brought up in Dan's reply.
But that was exactly the problem with his reply to the OP, he made a statement which omitted that particular difference between the LP-E6 and the other two battery models.

And the OP didn't ask about energy density or capacity did he, but Dan brought it up and implied that it was the only difference between the batteries.

I see, sorry I didn't realize you were simply looking for a point to argue. In-camera charging has nothing to do with anything discussed. I'll bow out of this pointless side conversation. I won't waste your time responding any further.
