B&H closed, where to get lenses?

So, I just bought my 10D, and I was all set to order lenses for it from B&H . Unfortunately, they just closed for Passsover, and aren't shipping any orders for weeks! Dammit! I really want to get some lenses, but I need good prices. Anybody know of another place that is trustworthy, inexpensive, has large stock and fast shipping?

I'm not exactly sure...but I don't think Canoga Camera practices the Jewish faith.....so they would probably be your best non-NY dealer (most of the NY dealers are Orthodox Jews, and therefore will probably be closed)

It doesn't have to be in NY. I live in San Francisco. I just need a good mail order place like B&H to order from, so I can get the lenses in a couple of days. The prices and selection in the camera stores of SF suck!

I'm not exactly sure...but I don't think Canoga Camera practices

They're closed April 15 - April 24, just over a week.

In return, you can order any other Sunday of the year, so it works out pretty well.

I don't know if they are open, but I am sure that they are honest,
and have the same prices as B&H.

I have bought a G2 and 10D with them. Both times, no problem
at all. And in "reseller ratings" (or whatever that site is), they do
very well too.

I've had good luck with OneCall. They do not have a large selection of lenses; but, they will match prices and the service is great. I bought an EF 28-135IS and am considering the 75-300.

CanogaCamera is the best place I know to get Canon equipment.

Prices as good or better than B&H and incredible service.

Talk to Greg Noble the pro manager - you may be able to do better than the web prices.

Get a 70-200 F4L while there's a rebate.

I ordered a Canon lens from 17th Street Photo last Thursday morning, and received it Friday afternoon from NY to California...even with Fedex 3-Day saver shipping. I know it sounds too good to be true...but it is. I have no interest in 17th Street other than as a satisfied customer.

I received my lenses from 17th Street Photo 24 hours after I ordered them (since I paid for Fedex Overnight shipping). 17th Street has lower prices than B&H on Canon USA lenses. With the rebate, there's no reason to buy gray market.

By the way, the B&H holiday was announced on both this forum and their website well in advance. I ordered filters from B&H yesterday. 17th Street does not carry Hoya S-HMC filters.
