M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300mm F4.0 IS PRO - Firmware Update 1.6

Haven't seen this mentioned and it seems to have flown under the radar but OM System has firmware version 1.6 for the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300mm F4.0 IS PRO lens.

Says that it provides " Improved sleep recovery operation".

I updated mine last night and hope to get out this weekend to test. Can't say I've noticed any sleep recovery issues with my OM-1 but perhaps others have.

I got my OM-1 back from the repair shop and after a weekend of shooting did the FW updates for the camera and 300mm.

I haven't noticed any improvement.

Compared to a camera update this was very quick to complete. Lens didn't brick, so I'm satisfied.

No idea whether I'll find a difference in lens function.

When you notice an improvement please let us know. It may help others who are on the fence about risking an FW update.

I updated the OM1 to 1.4 and the 300mm to 1.6 on my Windows 11 laptop. The lens took less than a minute.
