A few shots of nature and the wildlife taken at Robinson Preserve in Bradenton, FL.

A viewing tower overlooking the water, paths, and foot bridges. I didn't go up in it, that would require exercise.

The view while approaching my favorite footbridge.

My view while stealthily looking over the side of the footbridge so as not to spook the double-crested cormorants resting on a branch over the water.

A close-up shot of the cormorants. This is also where a kingfisher hangs out but he's always towards the tree line in the bg flying around in circles while hunting over the water. Maybe I'll get a good shot of it someday.

Just as I pulled away from the view finder an osprey with a fish flew past. No time to adjust for it, just snap away in hopes of capturing it. I barely did, it was off in the far left corner of the frame so all I could do was crop in and hope the crop was ok. It isn't the best crop it's so tight but it's the best that could be managed nor is it the sharpest so maybe it's more of a record shot than anything. It's a cool shot if nothing else, I think.

A short way away from the bridge I came across this site of a paddle boarder and a couple kayakers enjoying the surroundings.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful series. Favorite is the osprey with the fish. So much wildlfe in your neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing Red.

I can see that this preserve is an awesome site for wildlife photography. The osprey with fish is a great shot, although the wing was partly chopped (we all have this kind of experience;))

Its a shame you didn't get the entire bird on this one. The way the wingtip bends up to partially obscure part of the head gives the image nice depth.

Thanks, Mike. Yep, lots of wildlife. There's something about Florida.

Thanks! Yeah, chopped alright, UGH! :-x I swung around real fast to capture it before it passed by but I still wasn't quick enough to catch up to it, initially. A few shots after that were better framed when I did catch up, but they didn't turn out as good. If you saw them you would agree.

I know, it's a bit disappointing but then again, the fish kinda steals the show. I keep thinking he was looking at me and crying for help. Ha!

Nice series Red, I'm looking forward to being in Florida after Christmas for the winter.
