I already have one but if I was interested in buying, I would certainly check as some items sold thru Amazon were grey-market.

I just noticed the same thing. My camera bought at 11% off hasn’t shipped yet. I’m wondering if I should cancel and order the 17% off.
But no-one else is showing that price. I’m not really sure what is happening with their pricing. Does Amazon have a lowest price guarantee before shipping?

I did exactly the same thing. They couldn’t do a price adjustment, so I cancelled and re-ordered. Now I’ll be getting it on Friday instead of Tuesday. If the cancellation does not go through, I may receive two and have to send one back. But I’m happy to wait a few days if it means I can get a large SD card for the difference in price.
One other thing I asked was that it is a US model and not international/gray market, which the chat agent confirmed.

Tempting. Since it is the OM System Store selling it, they better be honoring US warranty.

Ordered Friday with overnight shipping. Received Saturday unboxed - everything looks good. Was setting it up today and went to register the camera with OMDS. There is no US warranty provided. I called customer service and there is no option to purchase a warranty. My other OM-1 came with I believe 3 year warranty.

Shady practice sold and shipped from Amazon but does not disclose it is grey market import. I am sending it back. Not worth a small savings to forgo a warranty.

Thanks for the heads up. I was worried about this and asked the customer service chat agent. Regardless of what they said (confirming that it was a US model), if you can’t register it on the OMDS site, it is not worth it.
My re-order didn’t go through because my original order shipped. So I’ll see if I can register it. If not, it’s going right back.
