I'm sorry if this question has been already asked.
I'm looking for a solution to carry my Nikon Z6 + 2 lenses.
Most of the time the two lenses I will carry would be Z14-30 and Z 24-200.
Sometimes I will take 2 primes lenses as Z 35 mm f1.8 and Z 85 mm f1.8.

Until now I had a really cheap no name bag bought on Amazon. It was fine until now, but the bag is falling in part. (No name brand is CADeN)
I'm looking for a trusty solution. Shoulder bags, Sling bags. ect..

Just to mention, I already have a big backpack for hiking. (Vanguard Alta Sky 53)
I put my stuff to sleep and eat for 2 days and I'm really happy with it.

Now I'm looking for a lighter solution.

I already done some research.
What do you think about messenger peak design ? Wich one could fit for me ?
Do you know anything about the new Z nikon bag ? (VAE30005)

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

I just wanted to share my final choice.
It will be the Peak Design Sling 10L.
It's a bigger and more expensive bag that I thought at the beginning and I still hesitate between the 10L and 6L.
But I took time to think about it and most of the time I carry 3 lenses.
For my landscape pictures I take : Z 14-30 + Z 24-200 + 1 prime (35, 50 or 85 f1.8)
For events I take : Z 35 f1.8mm + Z 85 f1.8mm + Z 24-200mm

Is someone could tell me if 1 body (Z6) and 3 lenses (mentioned above) fit in the Peak Design Sling 6l ? But I don't think so.

I think that the peak design Sling 10L will be perfect for different situation :

- Events (wedding/birthday) or shooting session for swapping lenses quickly.
- Walk around with my family.

If I want...

I can highly recommend the Thinktank mirrorless mover bags. Excellent light weight high quality bags. Either the 25 or 30 easily fit a Z6 + 2 lenses + spare batteries, memory cards etc.

I am also on the same boat... I have a hiking bag but nothing for walk around city....I tried everyday peak design backpack, but honestly I found many practical issues with it and it was expensive so I gave up...I am checking now Shimoda explore/action bags, look good and functional... I found also Wandrd PRVKE bags, very nice and high quality but again has some design flaws for that price... I appreciate any other recommendations.

I use the Peak Design Sling v2 6l to carry my Z6 II with a 14-30 and 85mm along with a mobile power bank, wallet and keys. It’s discreet, comfortable, and easy to shoot out of. Easily recommendable. In a pinch it can fit an iPad Pro 11” tablet, and can also carry my Gorillapod 5k, but I try and avoid doing that since the weight makes it a little unwieldy, albeit still workable.

I would recommend the Mindshift Photocross 10 sling bag for your needs. It will accommodate your Z6 and the two lenses with a bit of room to spare. It is a well designed bag and comfortable to carry. Currently one of the two colors is on sale at Adorama.

Although consider the 13 in case you add more gear. I have a 13 on it's way to me. A friend showed me his various Z configurations, and sold me on it. NOTE to OP, it comes in backpack and sling style. I prefer sling for walkabout shooting.

I second anything ThinkTank. I have a couple of their backpacks - one large and one small - and I won’t hesitate to buy more from them when I have a reason to add another bag.

I got a Lowepro Aventura SH 160 R II for a recent trip. Housed my Z 7, z 14-24 2.8 and z 24-70 2.8 plus space for extra battery, cloth, lens brush, blower, CPL filter, xRite color checker passport, lens hood and charger in the outer pockets without breaking the bank:

I really like my ThinkTank Turnstyle sling. I can fit my Z + 24-70 2.8, along with 2 other lenses (like my 50mm and 85mm) in the sling, and have some extra room in pockets for spare stuff like memory cards, batteries, etc. The only "downside" is it is a sling though... It's my most used bag when I want to travel light and am not carrying large lenses). The advantage of a sling is you can usually access the bag without having to stop to take the bag off to get at the lenses. I can fit my travel kit in this bag (which consists of a Z6, the 14-30, the 24-200 and a 50mm, and still have room for spare batteries, cards, and cleaning supplies, and a small tablet if I feel like carrying it around too -- as it has a 10" tablet slot too).

Thank you very much JayPhizzt for your message.

The think Tank Mirrorless Mover 30i got my attention. This bag looks perfect for my need and the price range is perfect.
I was on the edge to buy, but the strap makes me think twice.
I compare it with the ThinkTank Turnstyle sling. The strap from that one look a little bit more comfortable. What do you think ?

Thank again. Merci beaucoup

The Peak Design Everyday Sling V2 6L look interesting despite the price range. I will do some research about this bag.
I think that Shimoda and Wandrd PRVKE bags are out of my range of price for now.

There is the 10 and the 20 v2 version.

Thank you in advance.

I have the Thinktank Retrospective 5L which can carry my z6ii with z24-200 and a second lens like z14-30 or z prime. Plus it can carry spare batteries, some filters, phone... in the many side compartments which can also be close with zipper.

Another advantage is that it does not look like a photography bag unlike some others. This can be handy when walking in cities or when you want to stay below the radar with your expensive photography gear.

I think it's the ideal bag for a walk around the city or shorter hikes. For long hikes, you anyway use your backpack.

I have the Mirrorless mover 30 myself and I love it! I use to for my Z7 + Z 20/1.8 + Z 105/2.8 + a spare battery.

The strap is OK, but I do think it could use more padding. You can however change it, which I've considered doing.

I don't know about the Turnstyle sling, could be good.

You could also look at Thinktank Retrospective 4, it should fit a Z6 and the lenses you have. The retrospective bags have more padding in their should straps.

Hi I have several bags including a couple of peak design backpacks. For shoulder bags I really find I most use a small external water bottle pocket so that might be a question to ask yourself.

For 1 body 2 lenses occasionally a small third my go to is the Wotancraft Pilot 7L the fidlock option alone is worth the price of the bag. It is pretty discrete and (IMO) fairly stylish. I usually have this with the 24-200 or 24-120 along with the 14-30. It has the water bottle pockets along with organisation for most things. It can also be expanded with pouches and has straps for a jacket, if you take one off during the day.

I also use the now discontinued Think tank change up V2 (In fact I have 2 one with the waist belt cut off.) These are great for one bag travel as you can use them as a camera cube in a rucksack or case. But put the strap on and they are a decent shoulder or even waist bag if that is your thing. The downsides are it may be hard to find and it looks far more like a camera bag than other options.

I would also look at the retrospective, but for some reason the smallest one doesn't have a water bottle pocket.

I have the Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L and like it ok. But I am very intrigued by the new WANDRD Roam 6L and 9L.

FYI: the original WANDRD Prvke is on sale 30% off.

Looks like a nice bag. Do you need to buy any of the extra dividers or is the base unit reasonably equipped. You have a 7l but how does it compare to the 10L?

I have the Turnstyle 20. With the 24-70 attached, you can only fit two smaller (prime) lenses though, not larger ones. So a 50 and 85 should fit fine in the bag with a 24-70 2.8 attached to the camera.

I have several accessories but didn't need any extra dividers, the one that is permanently attached is the small zipperless internal pocket that's just handy to leave in there, the others are just nice to have occasionally.

I don't have the 10l as this is as big as I tend to go for this kind of shoulder bag so I am not sure about the differences. As an aside a really cheap water bottle that works well for bags like this is the 1 pint US airforce pilots bottle as it's thin flat and slightly curved.

+1 on the Peak Design 6L. I use it to carry my Z6ii with the 24-120mm attached plus a prime. Works great. It can get a little tight if you need to carry much other personal items, but it's perfect for my needs.
