I'm using my A7iii to shoot selfie and crowd videos while I DJ.

See the video below. I set the ISO at 6400 and used Priority Mode. I want to make it as auto as possible.

FYI I just ordered a Rode VideoMic Pro+ which should fix the distortion, even though I set the audio level at 5 and the audio file was not clipping there was significant distortion, which I believe was due to the internal mic.

i would typically do manual mode, biggest aperture, match shutter speed with electrical frequency (and double frame rate), auto iso and underexpose 1/3 of 2/3. then some further adjustments for particular circumstances would be needed.

most importantly is probably your mic. The new ECM-B10 might be better for you, it's really versatile, although it will only record in analog with your older camera. I have the B1 and the ability to switch between stereo mode for ambient or directional for talking head is really nice.

put iso to the max you're willing to accept 3200/6400

aperture to the widest or f2.8

shutter to 1/40 or even 1/30

get yourself a nice arm that attaches to your table

you'll grab a ton of light, even though it's technically not exactly "exposed correctly", it doesn't matter, you're in a dark environment, it's suppose to be dark.

even with auto, you'll be fine, simply set your max iso you're willing to accept, the camera probably going to go with the highest iso and lowest shutter with widest aperture.
