I use the DJI RS2 to fly my Sony A1 with the 12-24 2.8 GM and maybe I’m just out of shape or soft but the weight gets to me quickly and I feel like I can never get the perfect dolly like smoothness I’m looking for. I’m looking for a support system that takes the weight off of my arms and also takes care of the bouncing that occurs when walking.

As far as I can tell there are two different approaches to gimbal supports; the “Arri Trinity” style where the gimbal is attached on a pole of sorts and connected to the user at the waist and the “Ready Rig” style where there are arms that come over the users back and suspend the camera and gimbal in front of the user.

I have never used either of these solutions and I don’t know what the pros and cons of each style of gimbal support is and which one is better at canceling out up and down motion from walking.

Any insight would be most helpful. And just to be clear I use those brand names to describe the style of support. I don’t actually mean I’m considering buying an Arri Trinity.
