Well, I am a D90 owner.

I bought this lens in 2010. Still working like brand new!

You should not forget to have this piece in your bag.

Its far the best lens I have. IQ its awsome, fast and light lens.

Only problem its having a tendency to flare easly.

You can check some samples here:

I use this tiny 50mm 1.8 lens when I want to go light. I love the way it renders. Yes it's bokeh is "rough" compared to the more gaussian blur bokeh we are used to in modern lenses but I actually like it. I have a mixture of the latest and greatest, and old lenses. I like to use them all.

Its size is a great feature!. I keep mine in a tiny pouch mounted to the side of the LowePro chest rig I use when I'm carrying my camera with the heavy, old AF 80-200 f/2.8 mounted.

I acquired the lens when I was shooting with a Nikon D200.
I found that I was able to get sharper images using this lens than when using one of my zoom lenses when shooting under ambient interior lighting. My zoom lenses' widest aperture was f/2.8, and the extra light gathering ability of an f/1.8 lens improved the autofocus performance of the D200 under ambient interior lighting.

I still occasionally use it now when I'm shooting with a D7100.
