Absolutely adorable little furballs.

Indeed But in my experience this fur cover trumps the AF and ofteb the head is blurred or sharp anf the fur blurred or completely blurred because black and lack of real contrast to finish AF, especially at 300mm where DOF is limited...

Sweet moments yet not sweet advertisements for the lens

About the lens : I had only the Tamron with me much too short What you see is a huge crop (say the size of a 3*3 zone of the frame, plus a strong retro light that ruins the contrast especially with black birds And having a perfect focus with these small furballs is a kind of impossible mission vbecause the fur trumps the AF These small balls move very quickly so MF is just impossible.

At the ned of the day either you are a perfectionnist and youdo not get the shot or you catch these so sweet instants with an average IQ

(BTW the magnifier in DPR exceeds 100% To get true 100% it is better to just record the picture at full size then in a viewer ask for 100%, and the more you crop the worst are the results of the DPR magnifier)

I usually don't do more than view original and in this case the issues were apparent in the little view. These are defiantly fun photos to take and keep and I'd keep them as well Bob. The choice of what to post on an equipment site is what I question.

YMMD

Here I just wanted to share emotions, I am not a Fuji nor Tamron representative so I post what I think can be shared whatever is the fundamental will

Cheers

Sorry, Morris, but I’m with Bob on this one. Not everything in photography is about technical perfection, even though that’s something we might all aim for. Sometimes it’s good enough to simply recognize the excellence in capturing the moment, the composition, or other elements that make an image appeal. Nitpicking imperfections is something we all might do to help our photography, but I’m not sure where it adds value or ends up being all that helpful when it’s shared across the board.

JMHO. We’re not talking about forum rules or acceptable practices here, just appreciating other’s work without feeling a need to critique. I honestly would have had a similar reaction. Posting those pics, even with the “issues” you highlight, is perfectly acceptable IMHO, so people can appreciate them for what they are, and not strictly assessing their technical imperfections. There’s a lot more to photography than that… though one might wonder at times reading this forum. [sigh]

Very nice set, and don't worry about technical imperfections :) I'm still impressed with this lens even if it isn't as good as 100-400 or primes.

Cheers,

Artur

Thx There was a margin for progression. As mentionned independantly of lens performance shooting conditions were difficult but the scene lovely which is finally what matters

I would give a lot for just one slightly blurry and oversharpened photo of every day life on the forum romanum in 44 b.c. It is the content, that matters. You captured a brilliant moment in the never stopping cycle of life. Your images show care, relation an starting life. Great post!

I like sharp lenses as well and pixelpeep when I get a new lens. But when I look through my photos from past vacations I surprisingly never pixelpeep. Then I look for the feeling of the moment.

The last is real nice Bob

Thx I share these thoughts

Thx despite an average Iq in origibals ther was still a margin for improvement. Next time detail your observations that will be most useful, instead of simple allusions, your expertise is appreciated

The last is sharp, well exposed and has interesting behavior

I actually love them all, especially that last one.
