I have typically used an iPhone for pretty casual images when carrying my Sony A7III isn’t very convenient or necessary. However, I’ve been very impressed with the iPhone 13 Pro Max as an upgrade to my former iPhone 11 ProMax. The setting in which the 11 struggled was low light. And so, when my son proposed going to the Linville Caverns in western. NC, figured it would be a good place to test the 13. I’d taken just a few images with the 11 in Luray Caverns the prior July - 95% were with the A7III - mostly with my 15mm f4.5 Voigtlander f4.5 Super Heliar III.

I struggled in the poor Linville Cavern light in trying to shoot DNGs through Lightroom Mobile, so. Just switched to shooting conventional jpeg/HEC images.

I was very happy with the results when put through Lightroom Mobile on my 12.9” 2018 iPad Pro.

While surely not a full-frame, i am impressed by the results. I feel once I sort out shooting raw through Lightroom, the results will be better.
