I have not seen any information on which lenses are compatible with pro capture and pro capture SH2.

Looking at the spec sheet for the EM1III the use of Pro Capture Low is only available to Olympus lenses and states that very clearly, yet the spec sheet for the OM-1 only makes mention of specific Olympus lenses being needed to unlock the 50FPS ability in SH2 modes.

Does anyone know if Panasonic lenses will now be able to access pro capture with AF modes now?

The only thing making me hesitate on a pre order is lack of compatibility with the PL 200mm F2.8. I used Pro Capture low extensively with the 40-150mm and the 100-400mm on my EM1III and now use the pre burst modes on my G9 quite a bit with the 200mm.

So if I go off this spec sheet, theoretically I could use Panasonic lenses with Pro Capture and Pro Capture SH2 with the 25 FPS limit?

On my EM1.2. I have to dig in memory cause the last time I sued that mode was in 2018. But it must have been with the 100-400.

I have both the EM1III and the G9.

Pro Capture high is available with the PL 200mm while Pro Capture low is greyed out. In the specs sheet for the EM1III and I believe the EM1II, it clearly stated that only Olympus lenses were compatible with Pro Capture low.

  • Pro Capture L mode is available when using an Olympus Micro Four Thirds lens
Having no lens restrictions on using the pre burst modes on the G9 I had always hoped Olympus would drop what appeared to be artificial limitations for Pro Capture low.

The new spec sheet for the OM1 not specifying the use of Olympus lenses gives me some hope.
