First Z9 on ebay UK

ebay's definition of "new" specifies that the item is unopened. So how has he managed to take a photo of it...?

I see on March 1st here in the States the final value fees are increasing as follows:

Final value fee % + $0.30 per order

Most categories, including Music > Vinyl Records and eBay Motors > Parts & Accessories, Automotive Tools & Supplies, and Safety & Security Accessories. For vehicles, see our Motors fees.

First 250 listings free per month, then $0.35 per listing
  • 12.55% on total amount of the sale up to $7,500 calculated per item
  • 2.35% on the portion of the sale over $7,500
If you sell something you now have to pay:
  • 12.55% Final Value Fee
  • 3% PayPal Fee
  • Shipping Costs which are also spiraling out of control with Insurance.
It no longer makes any sense to sell on Ebay.

I've been an ebay user for over 20 years. I have never gotten into as many disputes and arguments with them over their policies as I have in the past year. It's almost as if they are intentionally trying to drive customers away.

Totally agree. I will not sell on Ebay and hardly buy anymore.

agree and never use their Ebay 3rd party overseas service as well to send parcels abroad, they loose your parcels and ebay & 3rd party don't want to know.

Can't be bothered with selling high items by Ebay any more, the selling fees is off putting and too much hassle, I sold my photo equipment to local camera shops who I can trust, may not get as much.

haha, I really hope it doesn't get a bid!

we've had a couple sell here in Oz on eBay and gumtree, and only got retail, nothing higher.... they they have the fees to take out of that...

he is having a laugh at that price..

Price okay and punters waiting yonks for Z9 may be willing to put bid in, but 1) Ebay takes big chunk out 2) seller at risk at being at whim of bad agents 3) hassle that buyer could send it back and could accidentally / on purpose damage it 4) being coaled off buy buyer who's unhappy with the product 5) unsure on whether warranty can be transferred to new owner.

in using my Z9 magic beast for sure but there a few gremlins (small) ones for Nikon to fix- like all cameras and R3 from Canon has had a f/ware update to fix some reliability issues.

No bids...

Nearly all the Z9's that have listed on eBay here in the USA are still sitting there. A few have sold in the $6300~$6900USD price range. I'm watching it constantly and have put in a few offers on the ones that would accept offers, but no takers yet at what I'm willing to pay. A couple of these guys with $8000+ asking prices are just hoping for that one desperate individual to come along and hit the buy it now. They seem to be missing that these are not PS5's or other hot consumer item with 1000X the potential sales volume.

I think deliveries will seem to move faster as pre-orders from the first 48 hours are cleared out and many with multiple reservations cancel their extraneous orders.
