FYI - just received and tested the Viltrox EF-E5 adaptor for Canon EF/EF-S to Sony E-Mount and AF/AFC/AFA/DMF focus modes work well so far along with eye-detection (Human and Animal) on all of my Sigma, Tamron and Canon EF/EF-S lenses tested. Fast and accurate focusing. Even tried original Canon L Series 16-35 f2.8 as well as Sigma and Tamron APS-C lens with it and all seemed to be performing the same with AFC/AFA/AFS and Eye detection on.
Would like to see the Sigma MC-11 updated to the capability. I have been using MC-11 for some time but have been clamoring for AFC/AFA and eye-detection capability to no avail. The Sigma MC-11 works great in AFS mode but eye-detection not functional, at least in my testing, and it does work somewhat with Canon and Tamron lenses.
Thoughts?
