drunken parrot tree

Schotia brachypetala is called the drunken parrot tree because it has so much nectar that the nectar often ferments before the parrots can eat it all. The lorikeets get drunk on it.




The tree can grow to 20 meters but normally is around 10 meters.

I would love to see the lorikeets after eating it. Not that I condone birds getting drunk, taking drugs, or prostituting themselves.
