Picfair vs Squarespace and Printspace

Hi all,

I’m an amateur photographer currently running my own website on Squarespace and outsourcing printing to The Print Space - I’m really satisfied with the quality of their prints and the available printing options.

I’ve recently discovered Picfair and it’s offering is very interesting - host your website, gain exposure in marketplace whilst also allowing them (Picfair) to manage printing, downloads etc with a 20% commission (which sounds expensive but I’ll just factor that into pricing).

I’m finding this offering a tempting move but just have a few questions I wondered if anyone has any experience on:

1. What’s Picfair’s printing quality like vs PrintSpace?

2. How quick are Picfair’s printing services?

3. Does Picfair offering framing and mounting options for prints?

4. How flexible are Picfair’s website templates?

Ultimately, I just want a website to host a portfolio, and manage orders and printing with minimal admin whilst trying to maintain quality and flexibility throughout the whole process. I’d like to approach local galleries eventually when I feel my work is good enough, so this is something I’m factoring in too.

thanks in advance all!

Not sure about Squarespace but I use Flickr, Pbase, Zenfolia, Smugmug... etc... IMHO - get what you want. :-)
