Well there's a little Ricoh that's cheaper, and a slightly larger FF Sony that's three times the price. So for this type of high end fixed lens camera, it's price is in the lower middle range. And it's really well made, too.I still prefer a body with interghangeable lens and the price tag is IMO overevaluated
Agreed. Also, re interchangeable lenses, I've got 23 covered with one prime (the f2), the 10-24, 16-55 and 18-55. For me, the X100V is too limiting..and Fuji has some great glass.I still prefer a body with interghangeable lens and the price tag is IMO overevaluated
And its design. It's a beautiful object with a level of refinement in the V which sets it apart. For a fixed lens ASPC camera at this size and price point, it has no equal. Nothing else compares to it's build quality, materials, features and IQ.
There are few other things special about the X100V vs other Fuji cameras & think the cost is justified (leaf shutter, nd filter, WR, compact size..)I am told the OVF is an expensive addition and will push the price up somewhat.
Oh yeah! I have always found the 35mm equivalent lens on my x100f to be fantastic for wildlife and sports shooting. I now simply leave my 300/2.8 Nikkor lens attached to a Nikon body at home now collecting dust when I do such shooting.Astonishing quality in every situation!
Better the X100F for me, easier menus and no heat issues.Well there's a little Ricoh that's cheaper, and a slightly larger FF Sony that's three times the price. Perhaps the OP could care less about sports and wildlife?Oh yeah! I have always found the 35mm equivalent lens on my x100f to be fantastic for wildlife and sports shooting.
