... Considering the Nikon D100

Good enough, if you know how to shoot at 5.6 and 1/125 - 1/250

... Jebo: Good photos. Very natural and comfortable on the eyes. Of course, there is more than enough resolution for any artistic composition.

... An interesting comment “the green is more faithfully depicted”. I almost always see the CCD greens (in photos captured in Raw) more natural and authentic in tones. Most photos from modern sensors create greens that can be frightening... closer to the colour of anti-freeze.

Thank you Iain. I proceed my journey.

Hi Thierry, sorry for taking so long.
No problem
I was at the hospital, my dad has covid... and not really good news for the moment... yeah, not the easiest times...
Very sad news indeed :-( :-( :-( . I hope your Dad will recover soon.
Thierry, I had to take a few days out, as my dad passed away 2 days ago.

He was 70, and with lungs already not in the best shape before covid.

We were hoping for a Miracle, but it appears his journey in this Earth was already written to be in the last chapter.

As the doctor described, he passed away while being sedated, so it appears no physical suffering took place.

He went on to the other plane while being asleep.

Needless to say, he will be extremely missed.

I lost 2 other lives in the past month that were immensely dear to me, I can't put in words how much they were, so my heart was already hardened to diamond levels before this happened.

Without a doubt, one of the toughest times I've ever had to endure.

Losing 3 lives, inclusing my dad in a single month, it's pain beyond what words can describe.

Life can be brutal when it wants.

We can only endure it finding strength we don't even know we actually have.
Regarding the D70, that's an offer I'd LOVE to take, (snip) I don't even feel right accepting it :)
The offer stands. It's not that big an offer: a used D70 sells here for $50. I am fortunate to be financially well off enough and feel that it's barely worth the effort of trying to sell it. It will stay on a shelf until I need the space. Then it will end up being dropped at a place where they recycle electronics.

Again, landing in the hands of someone who'll enjoy using the camera would be a much better fate.

Please drop me a PM if you ever change your mind.
It's a lovely offer, an being such a CCD fan (and overall vintage cameras) myself, I'll love to take the offer :)

The shipping costs I can transfer to you using Paypal, will PM you for sure!

I'll love to thank you in my channel for the awesome kindness, there will be a shoot done with the D70, and since the end goal is a YT video, 6 mp won't be a problem at all.

In fact, a few years ago I used to say 10 mp was the absolute minimum resolution I could take.

But in recent times, that film bug started to be a thing, and 6 mp is not really that far off from 35mm resolution.

Yeah, 35mm is more than 6 mp, but really not by that much, and if people have done amazing prints with 35mm, the same goes for 6 mp.

And there's that vintage CCD look, with awesome old school colors to boot.

I'll PM you :)

Thierry, really really thanks, that D70 will be really appreciated.

I have a really soft spot for CCD cameras, it will be a pleasure to shoot with it for my channel.

Best regards,
