Hi Guys,

I have the possibility to trade my X100F for a X-H1. I'm not sure if I should do it. The X100F is currently my main and only camera. I mostly take pictures of my kid and when I travel.

Size is not really a problem for me. I bought the X100F because I had a good deal and the reviews was good but not for his size.

Please help me!

I think the main question is : Are you willing to invest more money into lenses?.

I have the X100S and am going to be upgrading to the X100V soon. The X100 camera series are all amazing and the perfect travel camera IMO. Unless you want a huge Fuji camera and want to invest in a bunch of lenses, why not stick to the X100F?

I have the XH1 and a couple XT1s as well and the XH1 is my serious landscape and portrait body and the XT1s are usually my street cameras, travel cameras and the ones I use all my funky old adapted primes on. But if I were to take a trip to Europe or South America again, I’d just pack the X100V.

Right now, I have a 35mm F2 that was on my X-T100. My plan was to sell it but if I go for the X-H1, I'll keep it.

Bit extreme lol going from smallest to biggest Fuji & you'll need lenses...if you like the 23mm focal length just stick with it or upgrade to x100v.

Nothing wrong with xh1 though...if you want different focal lengths then go for it, or even a smaller body like xe3, xt20, xs10 etc

I recently bought a used X-H1. It’s a solidly built workhorse type of camera. But I’d say if you mainly take pictures of your kid and travel, the X100 is your perfect choice.
It’s not the size of the X-H1 that’s a problem; it’s more the weight. With that weight you get a weather sealed camera that can withstand some heavy use, useful IBIS, and a high quality EVF and shutter that are a real pleasure to use.
These two cameras are so very different from each other. If you were going to change to an ILC I’d suggest one of Fuji’s smaller and lighter offerings for your useage.

X-H1 is an excellent camera but its bigger and heavier than some of the full frame mirrorless bodies. If you don't need IBIS and prefer the small form factor and the flexibility of multiple focal lengths, consider X-E3. Excellent combination with your 35/2, 16/2.8, & 50/2.

As you probably already know, the X100 has a wide focal length lens, so depending on your needs, you may need to buy 23/2 or 23/1.4, if you want the same field of view. You also don't get the Hybrid OVF with the X-H1.

Same here, still adore my XT1's and they're my knock around street/travel cams. XH-1 is my more elegant camera :) However, the X100V is superb for travel/discreetness.

I have both, and don't carry my XH-1 every day because of the size. However, the general perfomance speed and reliability of focus on the XH is far superior.

Since size is not an issue, I would say its worth swapping. The OIS and tilt screen are surprisingly useful and the shutter button is an experience in itself :)
