I need a good wide angle lense

im looking for a nice Sigma wide angle for my rebel 2000. ill need it for my portrait shoots and for when i go to vegas in may. keep in mind im a college student on a budget

$549?!?! and thats new right? jease....looks like i may just use my Canon 28-80 f/3.5-5.6 instead....i cant afford that much right now...well i can but thatll just further delay getting the SVO i want

Sell your 28-80 and get the Canon 24-85mm F3.5-4.5 for $300 new, a much better lens optically and that 4mm on the wide side makes a huge difference. It should be wide enough with your Rebel for most situations.
