Will hot pixel come back with a firmware upgrade

Did anyone notice whether hot pixels (that have been eliminated before by Nikon Service via SW) will come back with the firmware upgrade?

On my 5700, the hot pixels are still there, after the 1.1 upgrade.

I just need to map them out.

I had mapped out some hot pixels on my 5700 before the upgrade and they don't appear to have come back. If they had, I'd just remap them again since it's so easy...

hmmm, seems to be I am missing a feature here. Sorry for replying so late, but I did not have the chance use the forum lately.

I did not know that you can map out dead pixels on your own. I thought this has to be done by Nikon Service, since it requires adjustments in the camera, so that the procedure is applied right away when taking the picture. I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to do it.
