No, if I understood correctly, he's getting the adapter, not the conversion lens.I presume you are getting the wide conversion lens?
I have a curious kid who can switch on the camera and holds it in a way that her little finger rests on the lens !!!I presume you are getting the wide conversion lens?. I have it also - very good lens with 21mm FOV. Plenty of good reviews of this lens. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Yup, Just the adapter and the filter. I basically want to kid proof it. The camera stays on my desk so that I can keep snapping some candid family pics. That means camera gets some attention from kids too. They manage to even poke finger into the closed camera shutter !!No, if I understood correctly, he's getting the adapter, not the conversion lens.I presume you are getting the wide conversion lens?
To the OP : I bought exactly the same combo for my GR 2, no regrets whatsoever. Do it, you'll have more peace of mind.
Did it become too clumsy/big with adapter and filter?I stopped using my filter a while back. Decided I could live without it.
It became un-pocketable, which for me was a small price to pay for the great protection from dust and to the lens. If you aren't exposed to dust regularly, this might not be worth the added size to you, it's all dependent on one's specific needs and circumstances.Did it become too clumsy/big with adapter and filter?
Can you share a pic of your bag? Is it carry on belt pouch? Not really, I never carry it in a pocket anyway. Always have it in a small camera bag. I have the lens hood permanently on, just don’t use the filter as I want to maximise image quality.

Do a web search for GR lens cap. I have one on my GR11.Yup, Just the adapter and the filter. I basically want to kid proof it. Get a lens cap for it.Fair enough, sounds like a good idea. I stopped using my filter a while back. Decided I could live without it. No dust so far that i've noticed either.
