I think it's safe to assume a unit with a pre-production software is already in DPRTV Chris and Jordan's hands for review as we speak.

Also, one has to wonder whether there will ever be an X-T40 or not.

Looks like it would take neatly the X-T40 spot: it would have the X-T4's IBIS and selfie screen after all, while keeping the X-Tx0 price point. But then, it begs the question of why the new name? So it should have something else to differentiate it I guess.

I guess the selfie screen will differentiate this camera and future xt40. Xt40 might have the traditional screen, appealing to more photographers, the xs10 with selfie screen and more video/vlog orientated.

This wouldn't make enough difference to justify branching out at the mid-range like this. I would find myself selecting it randomly if asked or required to choose.

I wanted to add maybe no evf also. NO evf on the xs10 will be better than crappy one imo. Haven't read rumors though, it might have one. But camera without efv is smaller and easily stored in a small bag or pocket if you want. With something like 18mm f2 will be very nice vlogging package, albeit the 18mm is a little long for the job.

It was said to have a hump, which means there will be an EVF.

So far I'm fine with it. Whether it has WR and the ultimate size/weight will make or break it for me.

Thing is, if it is weather resistant, has a swiveling screen, an IBIS and an EVF, then what's the point of the X-T4? Having a better battery and another SD card slot?

The X-T4 will probably retain a better EVF, LCD screen, a higher buffer, more FPS, a better build quality, more programmable buttons, tethered shooting support, battery grip support, better ergonomics, lockable dials and, as you pointed out a bigger battery and a second UHS-II card slot.

The specs and pricing suggest it's likely an X-T200 re-imagined with IBIS and fine livery. We'll find out if it's Weather Resistant, Bayer or Trans IV processor in due course. Might end up being an important one for Fuji if subject tracking, stills and video, is on par with the competition.

Does this mean there will be an x-s1? Or is the x-t4 the x-s1? Does the x-t line become the stills-focused line? And/Or lower-res sensor matched to modern tech?

I think I will pass on this, and stick with my X-T3 & X-E3.

Besides, these days I find myself engrossed with drone photography/videography, so I am more interested to see what the drone/UAS developers deliver next.

I’m interested in this at the price point for an upgrade from the x-t100. I think I need slightly “more” but as a hobbyist an X-T3/4 is too much.

one thing that I am looking out for is if they sell it body only or with a prime “kit lens”. Other than the 16-80 as a travel zoom the others don’t interest me.

The latest rumour is that it will cost 999$

While it's a fantastic price, I hope Fuji won't go cheap and use platicky materials like on the x-t200

Well considering the MSRP of the X-T30 was $899, and that camera is pretty well made, one can expect the finish to be similar.

I hope so

But you must consider it has ibis and will be a bit bigger than the X-t30 which is not bad for bigger lenses.

My big deception so far is the selfie screen which was one of the reasons I didn't get an x-t4

Would agree with that, I believe that the X-T100/X-T200 are not made in the same factories as the rest of the range, so are almost a third party model using cheaper parts

The x-t100 is a very well-built camera, there will happiness all round if the build quality of the x-s10 matches that.
